Challenge
Falling sales, poor account penetration, increasing returns of defective products and low employee morale were plaguing this small business forms manufacturing plant in the United Kingdom.
Solution
Comprehensive needs assessment and training design and development conducted by Interpersonal Development. The result was the Quality Initiative Programme, an 18-month series of initiatives designed to increased productivity and improve quality through training. All the training-in sales, management, leadership and team building--was tied to quality and productivity objectives. In addition to delivering the training sessions, we helped establish tracking and inspection systems, and coached management on the program kick-off, implementation and monitoring. We also coached key players around the obstacles, which included resistant teams, attention-diverting "crises," and conflicting priorities between short- and long-terms goals.
